New Mexico Junior College first opened its doors to students in the fall of 1966. Since that time it has grown to be one of the finest community colleges in New Mexico with an enrollment of 3,239. The campus is on 243 acres with over 331,400 gross square feet of buildings.

 


 

 

 

New Mexico Junior College and Energy Control Inc. (ECI) have had an ongoing relationship since the 1970's. ECI has completed automation projects in all major facilities and the Central Plant. ECI has installed PC's in the Police Dept., Dormitory Director's Office and Central Plant to monitor all HVAC equipment and door card reader security complete with tie-in to campus police for alarms and remote notification of HVAC alarms to designated control engineer. Control of all chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers and remote campus building HVAC systems equipment. Central plant chilled water uses a variable flow rate determined by system loads transmitted to central plant.
