New Mexico State University began in 1888 as an agricultural college, and today is a comprehensive institution dedicated to teaching, research, and service at the graduate and undergraduate level. NMSU is the only land-grant institution that is also classified as Hispanic-serving by the federal government and ranked by the Carnegie Foundation in the top research category, Research-Extensive.

 


 

 

NMSU and ECI have had an ongoing relationship since 1982, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and excellence in facility operations and reduce energy cost. ECI has completed automation projects in more that 30 major campus facilities and has applied Direct Digital Control to the plant as well. ECI has installed a networked Facility Management System (FMS) to monitor and the central plant and all HVAC equipment. This system is interface via the Campus Ethernet network and ECI monitors the equipment daily. In addition to major construction projects, ECI is also active in completing Building Repair and Renewal work throughout the NMSU campus.
